Hey there!
Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a Adobe-aholic. Yeah, let's get it right out there in the open, I love editing. I know, I know, I hear all the "are you crazy" and "but it is such a time suck" and all the other usuals. But I love it. Don't get me wrong, my other hat is a wedding photographer and I love every moment I spend face to face...er, face to lens with my clients, but I also love all of that time I get to spend re-living their day and making those little tweaks that immortalize the session for them. And while I do not consider myself a techno-geek (my hubby had to register my domain name and he's the dude that hooks my wiring up so I can edit on my comfy couch) I seem to have this combination of crazy intuitive skills for those massive edits that most photogs run from in terror. Got a Port-A-Potty photobombing your cute family session? No problem. Crazy kids won't all look at you at the same time? No worries. Become so silly successful that editing those mini sessions are eating up all your family time? I can take it on. Who needs sleep after all? Not I!!
So does some weird affinity for editing qualify me to take a crack at your image all willy-nilly? No, not so much. I've spent my many, many hours in the past years taking online editing classes, living on YouTube to learn new tweaks and toys to play with to streamline my editing chops and processes. And even more hours doing that thing that makes it all come together whether you're behind the lens or camped out in front of Photoshop; practice, practice, practice! I've been in the photography business for over a decade now and have streamlined my own business to the point where I want to share my downtime with those who may not have as much or who need someone who has the skills to take on the edits they just can't look at anymore. Bring. It. On.
